The Association of Professional Videomakers (APV) was founded in 1993 and is one of the largest trade associations representing both corporate/commercial and wedding/event videomakers in the UK. APV members agree to abide by a code of conduct, which means we can give any potential client a high degree of confidence in the services our qualified members supply.
Our service, help and advice is free to members of the public. We take our responsibilities to those seeking video services very seriously, offering impartial advice and suggestions when requested.
The APV is non-profit making and exists to promote professionalism and skills development within the video industry. We uphold standards; promote high quality of service and aim to make it easier for professional videomakers to operate their businesses properly, efficiently and effectively in today's ever-changing marketplace. We actively promote our members services to potential clients by providing; free impartial advice, advertising and by maintaining strong links with other websites, wedding planners, government departments and other related organisations.
Through web links, free public support services and because of our reputation, we refer many hundreds of jobs to our qualified members every year. We do this by providing their details in response to requests from both public and commercial enquirers. Though this alone probably justifies the cost of membership for qualified APV members, it is just one of the many benefits and services we offer to video industry professionals.
